Job Summary:

The NC FAST Reports Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of complex reports and data extracts for the NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) system. This role involves working with Oracle databases, PL/SQL programming, and ETL processes to deliver accurate and efficient reporting solutions that support business operations and decision-making. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop and optimize SQL queries, and ensure data integrity through validation and audit strategies. The developer will also provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotation schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and identify reporting requirements for NC FAST Case Management System reports.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document data interfaces and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and data extracts involving large tables with CLOBS/XML data.
• Enhance existing reports and data extracts to meet evolving business needs.
• Gather and document requirements for new and modified reports and data extracts.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and develop reports and dashboards.
• Ensure quality and integrity of data extracts using validation and audit strategies.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support and participate in rotation schedules.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve operational issues.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle databases and Oracle Utilities.
• Minimum 5 years experience with PL/SQL scripting and relational database modeling.
• Experience with structured system development methodologies (minimum 5 years).
• Strong ability to build relationships and respond to customer needs independently (minimum 5 years).
• Experience organizing, prioritizing, and following detailed technical procedures (minimum 5 years).
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects or BIRT (minimum 5 years).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) (minimum 2 years).
• Data warehouse experience (minimum 2 years).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience developing dashboards using Power BI and Azure Synapse (2 years preferred).
• Familiarity with Amazon RedShift and Tableau (desired).

Special Considerations:

• Must participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
• All work must be completed on-site as required by the client.
• Occasional travel may be required to fulfill job duties.
• Absences longer than two weeks require prior approval and contact information must be provided.

Scheduling:

• Full-time schedule with potential shifts to cover 24x7 on-call support rotation.
• Work performed primarily on-site at the client location.
